Karen spent 25 years advising startup, mid-size, and Fortune 500 clients in the technology, telecommunications, fintech, and insurance sectors. As a former in-house attorney and business leader, she has a wide range of legal and business experience. She has led multi-billion dollar transactions, drafted contract templates and playbook language, and advised on day-to-day matters. She earned numerous awards for excellent client service, boosting revenue, and maximizing savings through strategic negotiation.
At Triumph, Karen assists clients with matters related to privacy, compliance, procurement and vendor management, contract management, HR/employment policies and practices, and general risk management. For example, she drafts and negotiates SaaS agreements, software and hardware agreements, service provider and outsourcing agreements, data processing agreements, sponsorship/marketing/event agreements, reseller agreements, terms of service, privacy policies, employee handbooks, and other corporate policies. She also serves as fractional general counsel for clients with regular legal needs.
Karen’s corporate experience has given her a broad perspective and a tactical approach to solving (or preventing) problems. She has a passion for operational efficiency and a bias for action.
Karen earned her JD from Washington University in St. Louis.
